About the Role: This role is to provide 1 to 1 support for a Person We Support for community outings, in house activities, and day to day support such as mealtime management, personal cares and behavior support.
Part-time permanent position working 40 hours per fortnight: Monday to Friday 9am - 1pm
We're Looking for Someone With:
- A Passion for People: Be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate, and genuinely connect with people.
- Empathy & Understanding: An understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles.
- Team Player: Professional, honest, and a reliable team-player with a flexible mindset.
- Practical Skills: The ability to carry out personal cares, including showering and dressing.
- Driver Licence: A Full NZ Driver Licence is essential, as driving a MASH van will be part of your role.
- Relevant Qualification (or commitment to obtain): A NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing or a commitment to working towards this qualification, which will be funded by MASH Trust.
- Relevant Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience in a disability support setting, with an understanding of behaviour supports, restraints and medication administration.
