Class 5 Fuel Tanker driver - Dunedin Based

We distribute fuel and oil products throughout the South Island, providing fast, reliable fuel delivery & support to rural, farm/ agricultural, commercial, and retail customers.
The Role:We are recruiting for an additional full-time, permanent, Class 5 Fuel Tanker driver to join our Dunedin based team. You will work on a rotating shift roster , day shifts and night shifts, with deliveries from Invercargill to Oamaru and inland to Queenstown servicing a mixture of our commercial and retail customers in the wider Otago region.
Health and Safety is at the heart of what we do. A full induction programme will be completed upon commencement to ensure you are ready, equipped, and able to perform in the role. To be fully successful in this position you will complete 200 hours of driver training before you are eligible to commence independent fuel delivery.
You will be responsible for completing documentation and communicating with our customers as well as the wider RDP operational team, so attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.

- Have a strong appreciation of health, safety, and environmental standards with a commitment to ‘no accidents, no harm to people, and no damage to the environment’.
- Be physically fit to enable you to complete fuel loading and delivery including multiple entries and exits from the vehicle cab. If you are successful in obtaining this role, you will be required to undertake a full pre-employment medical examination including a hearing test and pre-employment drug test. It’s expected that all drivers will undertake regular medical exams throughout their employment at RDP.
- Have a minimum of three years Class 5 driving experience on NZ roads, ideally within the fuel industry. While a DG license and experience in the fuel industry would be advantageous, it is not essential, as training will be offered.
- A Dangerous Goods Endorsement
- Legally able to work in New Zealand (NZ Residency or NZ Work Visa).
- Satisfactory completion of relevant probity checks before commencing this role.
