- Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for an Events and Alumni Adviser, on a permanent, full-time basis.
These teams are part of Te Kura Tangata
- Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO).Key responsibilities:Organise and deliver key alumni eventsOrganise and deliver other events during busy work periodsSupport the Events and Alumni teams with operational processesŌ pūmanawa
- About youYou will be a motivated, customer-focused individual who can take the initiative, and provide excellent administration and event compliance.You will thrive in this role with an excellent manner with people, strong attention to detail, and self-management skills.You will be a highly organised self-starter and natural relationship builder, who relishes working autonomously as well as contributing positively to a high performing team.
You'll need effective time management and forward planning to balance meeting deadlines and maintaining a high standard of service.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and thrive while working with a diverse range of stakeholders.Key requirements:Experience in event or engagement coordinationAn understanding of event related equipment and technologyDemonstrated experience of developing and maintaining effective relationshipsProven ability to follow detailed protocols and instructionsCapability to work as part of a team as well as having individual responsibilitiesAble to attend after hours' functions on a regular basisThe University has flexible working arrangements.
Due to the nature of events work this is a front facing role requiring staff to be onsite for events including after-hours.
