Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role As a Recovery Partner you will be working with clients of all ages who have extensive physical injuries that will likely impact on their day-to-day activity for their lifetime.
Some clients may have individual needs that require coordinated support from other agencies, and you will facilitate this planning.Should the client choose, you will manage all claims each client may have with ACC, which means that from time to time you may work with clients who have'a mental injury due to sexual violence.
With a disability lens, as a Recovery Partner you will work to ensure that each client is supported to live as independently as possible by assessing holistic support needs during their rehabilitation and adjusting to a lifetime disability.
The right mix of communication, planning and adaptability supports the best outcomes for your client while building confidence and trust.
