About the role:
Join our team as a full-time or part-time Support Staff member based in Mosgiel, where you'll play a vital role supporting people with a learning disability in a warm, home-like environment.
You'll support them with everyday activities such as shopping, meal preparation, household chores, personal care, and community outings. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to build trusted relationships and provide compassionate, person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs.
Note: Although Hawksbury is accredited to hire staff on an Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), we do not have a Job Check for this position so cannot support applicant with the visa process.
Ideally, you'll have an NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 2 or equivalent along with:- A positive attitude to supporting people with learning disability.
- A full New Zealand driver's licence (essential).
- Great communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ongoing development opportunities. If you haven't already completed NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 2 and 3, we will support you to complete these.
- Paid training time – First Aid, Safe Manual Handling, Falls Prevention, Dysphagia
