About the role
Support the Chef and kitchen team to deliver nutritious, well-presented meals in a clean and safe environment. You'll play an important part in residents' daily comfort while working closely with colleagues in a supportive aged care setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef with food preparation and presentation
- Support meal service and kitchen operations
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
- Clean kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
- Work collaboratively to ensure smooth service delivery
- Part-time role with consistent, set days
- Supportive, friendly team environment
- Stable hours in a caring aged care setting

Skills & experience
You'll be successful if you bring:
- Experience as a kitchen hand or kitchen assistant
- Proven food preparation experience
- Strong focus on hygiene, cleanliness, and safety
- Reliable, friendly, and professional manner
- Ability to support the team during busy periods
- Food safety knowledge, hospitality qualification, or first aid (desirable)
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
