The role

We have an exciting opportunity in this newly-created role for a Spare Parts Supervisor to join our knowledgeable and experienced Service team and be supported by great training and shared expertise across the business. Reporting to the Service Manager and working within the wider Parts team, you’ll be responsible for supporting the efficient and effective daily operations of our new Palmerston North Parts Distribution Centre in the supply of parts throughout the Lower North Island.

This will be a sole-charge function although growth is anticipated in time. You’ll be responsible for all aspects of the Spare Parts lifecycle, from receiving inwards goods, to providing operational and administrative support, to ensuring optimal inventory levels, to stocktaking, to picking and dispatching, and supporting our Lower North Island branches and technicians with supplying parts to ensure their customer expectations are met.

What you do matters!

You’ll also work closely with the National Spare Parts Manager in implementing improvement projects to achieve business objectives while ensuring compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures, and will be responsible for tidiness and efficiency as well as health and safety practices within the warehouse.

This is a fulltime, permanent role based in our Palmerston North branch.

To shine in this role, you’ll bring your positive and solutions-focused attitude and strong attention-to-detail skills, along with your drive to meet targets. We’re looking for someone with experience in a busy parts operation, preferably in the automotive, industrial service or manufacturing sectors, or potentially a warehouse background.

You’ll be a collaborative and supportive team player and have great customer service and confident communication skills when it comes to dealing with your internal and external stakeholders. Your good time management skills and IT savvy will help you enter this role.
