Registered Nurse, Community - Mental Health Services for Older AdultsFixed-term role (ending on 20 Jan 2027) Monday to FridayBased in TakapunaAbout usMental Health Services for Older Adults (MHSOA) provides a comprehensive service to people over the age of 65 years and comprises an inpatient facility and community mental health teams covering the North Shore, Rodney District and West Auckland.MHSOA provides assessment, treatment and support to service users who have:psychiatric disordersdementia with behavioural and psychological complicationspsychiatric complications of a physical illness associated with ageing MHSOA is part of the Specialist Mental Health and Addictions Services.About the role and About youWe are looking for a motivated, registered nurse to join our cohesive MHSOA North Community Team, which comprises an urban team covering the North Shore.The team is multidisciplinary, our approach is collaborative and our population is culturally diverse.

This position would suit a mental health nurse with the experience and skills to work with older people, often with complex needs, and provides the opportunity to increase and enhance clinical skills within an established and supportive work environment.A current practising certificate and a full, clean driver's licence are essential requirements for this position; ideally, the successful applicant will also have 2 years of post-qualification experience in mental health.
