Japanese Cook
You'll be responsible for:
l Prepare, season and cook a range of hot food items, including donburi bowls, udon, ramen, teriyaki dishes, tempura items and other cooked menu products.
l Carry out daily food preparation, including cutting, portioning, marinating and seasoning meat, seafood, vegetables and other ingredients.
l Prepare sauces, broths, batters and other ingredients required for daily kitchen service.
l Monitor cooking times, portion sizes and presentation to maintain food quality and consistency.
l Check the freshness and quality of ingredients and ensure proper storage and stock rotation.
l Maintain kitchen cleanliness, food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
l Assist with stock monitoring and general kitchen organisation.
l Support other kitchen preparation and food production tasks as required
About You
l Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in fast-paced, high-quality commercial kitchen environment.
l Ability to prepare and cook food in a commercial kitchen environment.
l Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
l Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
l Availability to work during business hours, including weekends and evenings
l Flexibility to take on various shifts
