**He angitutanga | The Opportunity:**
As **Duty Manager**, you will be the senior operational lead during your shift in one of the premium Lounges at **Auckland International Airport**. You’ll ensure the smooth running of all lounge operations, delivering a consistently elevated guest experience aligned with their service standards.Acting as a key point of contact for guests, airline partners, and team members, you will support the Lounge Manager by leading with professionalism, clarity, and genuine care. This is a **Casualposition** where hours of work are " as and when" required basis upon business needs.
Therefore, you **MUST** be available during the weekends.
**Ko o kawenga | Your Responsibilities:**- Lead all lounge operations during your shift, coordinating teams across food, beverage, bar, cleaning and front-of-house services.
- Deliver an exceptional Qantas-style guest experience by engaging with Premium and Frequent Flyer members, resolving issues discreetly and professionally.
- Provide strong on-the-floor leadership through pre-shift briefings, coaching, staff allocations, and real-time decision-making.
- Oversee Responsible Service of Alcohol and bar operations, ensuring compliance with licensing, safety, and Qantas brand standards.
- Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety, food safety, airport security requirements, and accurate completion of shift and incident reporting.
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Duty Manager in premium hospitality, hotels, airline lounges or similar high-service environments.
- A confident, composed leader who brings calm authority and genuine warmth to every guest and team interaction.
- Strong communicator with the ability to motivate diverse teams and maintain service excellence during peak periods.
- Flexible, reliable, and resilient, with the availability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 airport environment.
- Holds, or is willing to obtain, a **General Manager’s Certificate**, **NZQA Food Handling Certificate**, and **Police Clearance**.
