Qualified Electrician – Graduate Opportunity
Clive Wilson Switchboards (CWS) is a leading Invercargill-based industrial switchboard manufacturer with more than 57 years in the business. Our workshop is a busy one, with over 20 employees across our electrical switchboard, powder coating and engraving divisions.
We’re on the lookout for a motivated and enthusiastic Electrician to join our team. While previous experience in industrial switchboard manufacturing is a bonus, it’s not essential; this role is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to build their career in a supportive environment.

- Layout and wiring of industrial motor control centres, main switchboards, and light/power distribution boards.
- Testing to AS/NZS 3000/61439 standards.
- Construction of switchboard panels and framing.
- Interpreting electrical schematics.
- Site work from time to time.
- Fully New Zealand registered Electrician (EWRB).
- Permanent work rights in New Zealand.
- Current NZ Driver’s Licence and reliable transport.
- Excellent time management and self-organisation skills.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and a great team player.
- Motivated, enthusiastic, and ready to learn.
- Good physical health and ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Attention to detail with a solution-focused attitude.
- Familiarity with current Health & Safety protocols.
