As the Duty Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring front-line delivery remains smooth, staff are engaged, and customers leave satisfied. You’ll delegate tasks, manage staff coverage, handle escalations, and uphold high standards of productivity, safety, and service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily operations: supervise customer-facing areas, oversee staff performance, and ensure efficient workflow.
Handle customer concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high satisfaction.
Coordinate staff schedules, including approving leave and ensuring adequate shift coverage.
Process financial tasks such as cash handling, till balancing, and inventory oversight?Trade Me.
Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for staff and customers.
Liaise with management: report performance metrics, flag issues, and contribute to operational planning.
Lead team huddles, provide on-the-job support, and foster a positive work environment.
Requirements
Proven experience in a management or supervisory role, preferably in hospitality, retail, or a customer-service environment.
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities.
Competent with cash handling and basic financial reconciliation.
Well-organized, proactive, with excellent multitasking skills.
Flexibility to work varying shifts—including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
A qualification in business, hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
Must hold Duty Managers Certificate or LCQ
