Dragonfly is an established busy modern Asian Restaurant and Cocktail Bar in the heart of Courtenay place. We have a reputation for amazing food, drinks and service. And have been operating for over 13 years.
We are looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join our management team.
The ideal person will have- At least 2 years’ experience at a senior waitstaff or supervisor level
- Experience managing, leading and developing a team
- Strong positive leadership
- Valid NZ work visa or residency.
- Local and international wine knowledge
- A passion for food
- Experience with large bookings and events.
- A passion for service of amazing food wine and cocktails
- An eye for detail
- A desire to help a business grow.
While this is a management role, the position is very hands on and working on the floor with the team is part of a normal shift.
A current Managers Certificate is required for this role. However if you have already started the process with and LCQ we are open to supporting the process.
Knowledge of Asian food is not essential, as full training will be given. But it would be an advantage.
Dragonfly is open Mon to Sat from 430pm until late, work will be on a roster basis and between 30 – 35 hours a week, shifts will be a mixture of opens, closes and involves working nights and weekends.
We are open to applications from people on working holiday visas, but would require a minimum 6 month commitment. We are not able to offer sponsorship for this role.
