You will work in collaboration with a group of professionals that recognises the importance of providing quality care and services to their clients, supports and whanau.You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, and in collaboration with our Tangata Whaiora and their family/whanau, primary care, community supports and our inpatient teams.
It is essential that you have the ability to think on your feet, triage and appropriately prioritise your Tangata Whaiora- s needs in a timely manner.You will hold a caseload of Tangata Whaiora who you will proactively engage with and support to engage with their treatment and other holistic supports.
Assessment, development of recovery plans and liaising with whanau and other carers, NGOs, police, probation and other services is all part of the Community Mental Health Social Work role.Must Hold a Full Driver
- s Licence, current APC and NZ Social Worker Registration.

Consideration would be given if you have familiarity working with TangataWhaiora, and families/whanau within a mental health context.
Experience workingwith Maori and applying the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi to your practiceis essential.
