Auckland Region Women's Corrections Facility is based in Manukau, South Auckland and is the only womens prison in Auckland.You will join a dedicated and supportive team managing the well-being, health and safety of the women at our site.
Our facility caters for those on Remand and Sentenced, at all levels of security classification.
We also house a purpose-built ‘mothers with babies' unit on-site.
We recognise the women we manage have different needs to men and we have set an approach that will give our women the care, treatment, encouragement, counselling, skills and support required to shape better futures for themselves, their children and their families.Utu ā-Tau | Salary and BenefitsThe starting salary for this position is $67,519 per annum.

As part of your training you will learn how to keep yourself safe within a custodial environment.You will engage with people in a positive way and will have the opportunity to influence change in the lives of whānau.
Using your highly effective communication and relationship building skills, you will assist and influence the women we manage, empowering them to make better choices, take the right actions at the right times and support their individual pathways towards living offence-free lives.Corrections Officer, He Āpiha Whare Herehere will:ĀRAHI
