Production Supervisor Food Manufacturing

We are a design-led, small-batch food manufacturer producing premium plant-based frozen

desserts and botanical-inspired products.

Our focus is on clean ingredients, structured production systems, and refined flavour development.

As we expand into new product lines, we are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily

manufacturing operations across our bakery, frozen dessert, and botanical product ranges.

This is a hands-on supervisory role suited to someone who understands both the science and

the craft of food production.

The Role

You will oversee production systems from raw ingredient intake through to finished goods, ensuring consistency, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across all batches.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supervising daily production of plant-based frozen desserts and structured baked
inclusions
  • Coordinating workflow across multiple product lines with strict quality standards
  • Maintaining batch consistency and recipe adherence in a small-batch manufacturing
environment
  • Implementing and monitoring food safety, hygiene, and temperature control systems
  • Managing production documentation, traceability, and compliance requirements
  • Supporting development and standardisation of new product formulations
  • Training and guiding production staff to uphold operational standards
  • Identifying process improvements to optimise efficiency and reduce waste

About You

You are deeply comfortable working with natural ingredients and understand the technical side

of production - not just cooking.

You likely have:
  • A formal tertiary qualification level 4 or above in Gastronomic Production, Culinary Production, Food Technology, or similar
  • Or at least 3 years experience in structured food production or manufacturing
  • Experience supervising production teams & experience in batch production and recipe standardisation desired
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance systems
  • An understanding of ingredient functionality (plant-based systems, fermentation, botanical inputs advantageous)
  • A calm, methodical approach with high attention to detail
