You will work as part of a well-establishedand collaborative team, participating in shared care with primary and specialtyservices to ensure patients and their whānau receive the best possible care.You will also have the opportunity to contribute toundergraduate and postgraduate education, quality improvement initiatives, andservice development across the region.About the Team | Canterbury Integrated Palliative CareServiceOur interdisciplinary palliative care team provides servicesacross Canterbury Hospitals, Nurse Maude Hospice Inpatient Unit (11 beds), AgedResidential Care Facilities as well as for those resident in communitysettings.
This role will be predominantly working across the InpatientUnit, Aged Residential Care and community teams, based at the Nurse Maude site.We are passionate about delivering holistic, equitable, and culturally safecare.The team includes Medical Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, ClinicalNurse Specialists, Allied Health professionals, volunteers and administrativesupport.For more information on living and working in Christchurchclick hereAbout youTo be successful in this role, you will bring:Fellowship of the RACP or equivalent, with specialist training in palliative medicineVocational registration (or eligibility for) with the Medical Council of New ZealandDemonstrated experience in providing specialist palliative care servicesA commitment to equity, cultural safety, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principlesCollaborative team spirit and excellent communication skillsWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
