Safety & Wellbeing Advisor

What does a Safety & Wellbeing Advisor do?At Corys, safety is everyone's responsibility — and it begins with you.
In this role, you'll support our "Safety Starts with Me" culture by working closely with teams across our branches. As a key safety advocate, you will:
- Deliver health, safety, and wellbeing advice throughout the business
- Maintain and improve safety systems, risk management, and wellbeing programs
- Support leaders to be active safety role models
- Develop and deliver engaging safety training (both in-person and online)
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and standards
- Assist with incident investigations and support employee return-to-work processes
- Encourage open conversations about safety and wellbeing in the workplace
What do you need to bring to Corys?
We're looking for someone who cares about safety beyond just compliance. To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A qualification in Health and Safety or relevant experience (2+ years) in a safety advisory role
- A good understanding of NZ Health & Safety legislation and industry standards
- Experience working collaboratively to provide health, safety, and wellbeing advice
- Skills in developing Health & Safety policies, procedures, and systems
- Strong communication and facilitation abilities
- Comfort using digital tools for safety reporting and training
- A proactive approach, willingness to learn, and a team-focused attitude
