  • Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the roleThis role will contribute to the smooth running of the Day Surgery Unit by providing an efficient and timely administrative support function that is responsive and flexible to the changing needs of the service/organisation.
The primary function of the administrative support provided by this role to the Day Surgery Unit is that of booking patients, following all classifications and guidelines as instructed.Tasks include but are not limited to:ensuring patient referrals and waitlist offers for surgery are processed in a timely manner, per MOH requirementssetting up and maintaining effective electronic and paper filing systems and procedures relevant to the service, enabling quick access to informationproviding excellent customer service skills by listening and interacting with stakeholders in a courteous, polite and responsive manner while adhering to relevant established protocolsensuring all ACC claims are checked on the ACC website to confirm that the claim is accepted, it is for the right body part and the right patient.About the Team/Service/LocationHealth New Zealand
