A leader in heavy transport engineering, specialising in the manufacturing, servicing, and inspection of truck trailers and trucks across New Zealand. We're looking for an experienced Senior Fitter/Welder to join our high-performing team in Hamilton.

About the Role

As a Senior Fitter/Welder, you'll take the technical lead on engineering repairs, support fellow team members, and step up in the absence of team leaders. This is a hands-on role where your industry knowledge and mechanical aptitude will be highly valued.

• Qualified Fitter/Welder with a minimum of 10 years' experience
• Proven transport industry background – repair experience is essential
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Excellent communicator – both internally across teams and externally with customers/suppliers
• Ability to interpret and relay technical drawings
• HT licence – desirable but not essential
• Self-motivated with a commitment to safety, productivity, and quality

• Stable, full-time position with consistent hours and overtime when needed
