We're looking for a dynamic and compassionate trainer to join our Learning and Development team at Spectrum Foundation — an organisation that leaves no one behind.
About the Role
As a Trainer for Maybo and PBS, you will deliver high-impact, person-centred training that changes lives.- Facilitate Maybo courses - a globally respected conflict management and de-escalation programme.
- Deliver engaging Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) training, equipping teams with tools to understand behaviour and improve quality of life through evidence-based, human rights-focused strategies.
- Support and coach frontline staff across Aotearoa through interactive face-to-face, digital, and 1:1 learning delivery.
- Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of training programmes and learning resources.
- Collaborate with the wider L&D team to support other meaningful learning initiatives, including staff qualifications and bespoke capability-building projects.
What You'll Bring
Qualifications/certification- A tertiary qualification in education, psychology, health, counselling, human services, human resources, or a related field (Bachelor's level or higher).
- Current Maybo Trainer Certification, or a strong commitment to becoming a certified Maybo trainer.
- A full, clean driver's licence is essential.
- Experience in facilitating training to adult learners in group and/or coaching settings.
- Clinical knowledge or experience relevant to PBS is preferred.
- Strong understanding of behaviour support principles and trauma-informed practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - you're confident presenting, able to adapt to diverse audiences, and skilled at building trust.
- Organised, tech-savvy, and capable of managing time, priorities, and multiple projects.
- A commitment to cultural responsiveness, inclusion, and continuous improvement in learning design and delivery.
