Ryal Bush is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have a solid grasp of Civil Construction, including Earthworks, Drainage, and Demolition, to help deliver a wide range of projects.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you’ll oversee all stages of projects, from tendering through to completion. You’ll make crucial decisions affecting project performance and manage stakeholder communications to uphold our high standards. This role suits someone with a background in construction or a strong desire to develop expertise across various projects.

We’re looking for someone who understands both theory and practice in construction management. Familiarity with plant equipment and problem-solving abilities are essential. Experience in surveying and design is advantageous, but training will be provided if needed.

We take pride in managing every phase of a project—from start to finish—ensuring we achieve outstanding outcomes for our clients. This dynamic position offers plenty of variety, so no two days are alike: you might install pipes, prepare reports, demolish buildings, handle health and safety paperwork, or supervise onsite activities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable liaising with clients, staff, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Leadership skills

  • Excellent time management
  • Attention to detail
  • Support health, safety, and quality processes
  • GPS experience preferred
  • Knowledge of contract commercial management, progress claims, NZS3910, and council procedures is a plus
  • Engineering or Project Management qualification (or willing to work towards one)
