This role is suited to a planner with 7+ years’ experience who is confident at operating in fast-moving environments and engaging positively with a wide range of stakeholders. While local government experience is valuable, we are equally interested in candidates coming from consultancy or commercially focused environments.
You are someone who thrives with autonomy, takes ownership of outcomes, and enjoys working directly with decision-makers.
You will likely bring:- Strong working knowledge of planning processes and the RMA
- A commercially aware and practical mindset
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working closely with other consultants such as Project Managers, Architects, Draftspersons, Urban Designers, Surveyors and Engineers.
- Seek out and work on interesting development opportunities in a variety of locations.
- Be part of shaping a growing development company.
- Influence outcomes and contribute to the direction of a development company beyond standard consent processing or policy work.
- Enjoy flexibility with a work-from-home arrangement, with travel required from time to time to meet stakeholders, visit sites, and attend key meetings across New Zealand.
- Work autonomously in a select, specialised team, with a founder who values your expertise and gives you the autonomy to deliver.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
