Opportunity to join a large manufacturer in South Auckland in a sole charge position reporting to an outstanding Head of People and Culture.

The Health & Safety Manager is responsible for developing. implementing and overseeing health and safety programs, policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant working environment. The role is critical in fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.

The role provides the Health and Safety for site in NZ and Australia- travel is quarterly to Australia and monthly to Waikato.

As the SME for Health and Safety this role will also play a leading role in the development and delivery of the Health and Safety Strategy and Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety and Wellbeing Management
• Contribute to strategy
• Provide expert guidance/coaching to business leaders
• Promote and engage with employees to achieve targets
• Audits and inspections, Investigations, compliance management
• Continuous improvement
• Lead Health & Safety Reps meeting
• Reporting
• Risk management

This role requires manufacturing Health & Safety experience. We are looking for a tertiary qualification and a minimum of 5 years' experience in Health and Safety- with at least 2 years in management. You will need to be experienced with systems and have proven leadership capability across all levels in a manufacturing environment.
