The Opportunity:We're looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing team. This hybrid role combines office-based civil design with hands-on geotechnical fieldwork, giving you a well-rounded professional experience.

• Assist with the design of civil projects including earthworks, stormwater, wastewater, water supply, roads, and land development.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports using 12D and AutoCAD.
• Conduct geotechnical site investigations and soil testing.
• Support senior engineers in developing practical and cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with NZ standards and local council requirements.
• Contribute to project planning, management, and client presentations.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Maintain quality and safety standards across all project stages.

• Proven experience (3-5 years) with 12D and AutoCAD for civil design and drafting.
• Strong understanding of NZ engineering regulations and standards.
• Experience in geotechnical fieldwork, site inspections, and reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-focused mindset.
• Experience in Hawke's Bay or surrounding regions (preferred).
• Background in water, wastewater, or stormwater systems (an advantage).
• NZ citizenship or permanent residency is essential.
