Class 2 Delivery Driver
Tron Transport is a vendor for Coupland's Bakeries, selling and distributing a wide range of baked goods throughout the Central North Island. We are now looking for Class 2 drivers to do delivery runs based out of Hamilton.
The shift starts at 11am (depending on the run) and takes up to 11 hours. 44 hours per week working four set days- Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Pay is $30/hr Monday to Friday and $33/hr Saturday and Sunday.
Available for immediate start.
We are looking for a long term team member and offer strong job security. You will be paired with an experienced driver to provide on the job training to learn the run before you go on your own. We run a fleet of 4x2 automatic trucks that are on a 4 year replacement program, so the gear is in good condition and comfortable and easy to drive.
Duties- Deliver products to up to 70 customers per day within assigned route schedule and time windows.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
- Continuous lifting of crates and cartons (10Kg - 30Kg) and pushing and pulling of full stacks (100kg+).
- Be energetic, physically fit and able to lift heavy loads - lifting 25kg+ is part of the daily routine
- Clean Class 2 license with solid driving/delivery experience
- Develop a good working knowledge of routes and customers
- Good verbal and written English
- Solid attendance record
There is no loading or unloading by forklift etc – everything is done manually out the side door or off the tail lift.
