Mō te tūnga | About the roleDefence Science & Technology (DST) provides applied research, exploratory development, and policy studies on science, technology and related areas with application to military technology, force development and operations.The team are looking for an equally passionate person to join them and share their banter and their excitement about the work they do.The role provides day to day admin support to ensure the smooth operation of the DST which includes being our face to the business.
This means greeting internal and external guests, monitoring emails and phone queries, answering in a timely and friendly manner and distribution of mail.You will also support the Operations team as needed which can make for days being busy and varied.This is a junior role with an approximate salary of $68,000 per year is being offered.Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and ExperienceIdeally you will have some experience working in a busy office admin role, however we are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, has fabulous communication skills and a willingness to learn and support the team.
Some other must haves:Be very mindful about what it means to work in a confidential work environmentReady to use initiative, just get things done and be prepared for what comes next.Excellent planning, and coordination skillsCompetent with MS Office Suite of products.Be prepared to be the Team's First Aid officer so if you have a First Aid Cert that would be beneficial, however training will be provided.
