Lead from the orchard floor. Grow people. Deliver results.

Our people are at the heart of everything we do. We're authentic, skilled and curious, earning respect through our actions. Our teams are safety-focused, ambitious and driven by a shared commitment to quality, continuous improvement and self-leadership.

The opportunity

We're looking for an Orchard Supervisor to join our team in Kerikeri for the 2026 season. This is a hands-on, high-energy role for someone who enjoys being out in the orchard, leading by example and keeping teams moving toward clear goals.

Working closely with the Orchard Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering seasonal work programmes across Seeka-managed orchards. You'll lead orchard teams and contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to Seeka's quality standards while achieving strong production outcomes.

What you'll be doing
  • Supervising day-to-day orchard operations including picking, pruning and general vine work
  • Training, coaching and developing orchard teams to build capability and consistency
  • Monitoring performance and motivating teams and contractors to meet productivity and quality targets
  • Championing health and safety, ensuring all work is completed in line with requirements and best practice
  • Coordinating daily priorities with the Orchard Manager and clearly communicating plans to teams
What you'll bring
  • Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to engage a diverse workforce
  • A collaborative, practical leadership style that brings out the best in others
  • Strong planning and organisation skills to manage changing priorities and seasonal pressures
  • The ability to quickly grasp new concepts and understand how daily tasks link to bigger outcomes
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to meet the demands of the season
Experience that sets you up for success
  • Experience in kiwifruit, horticulture or the wider primary industry
  • A sound understanding of health and safety legislation and practical application
  • A full driver's licence and reliable transport (preferred)
