Foundation Crew
Join Northpower's Foundation Crew and help power New Zealand's future.
We're looking for experienced and reliable Foundation Crew Members to undertake a wide range of civil and foundation works on the transmission grid. You'll be part of a supportive team with a strong safety culture and opportunities to further develop your skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing work sites – identifying hazards, checking equipment, and setting up the site safely
- Trenching, foundation upgrades, and civil works around transmission lines
- Installing equipment and cables, moving materials, and general labouring
- Reading and interpreting underground obstruction plans
- Maintaining tools, PPE, and Northpower property to a high standard
- Proactively identifying and reporting safety risks
-Contributing to a high-performance, safety-first team culture
Experience:
- Full Class 1 Driver's Licence (Class 2, 4, 5 or tracks endorsements are a bonus!)
- Strong safety record and a commitment to safe working practices
- Physically fit – capable of lifting, digging, and performing manual tasks
- Good communication skills and sound literacy
- Reliable, hardworking, and enjoys working outdoors as part of a team
- Previous labouring or civil construction experience is preferred
