About the RoleAs a member of the Duty Nurse Manager team, youll play a key role in coordinating the Waikato Hospital campus, while also supporting Thames Hospital and our rural sites. Youll ensure the safe, effective, and efficient use of resources to support patient care and hospital flow particularly when things get busy and problem-solving skills really come into play.If you thrive on variety, enjoy big-picture thinking, and dont mind a role where adaptability is your superpower, this position may be just what youre looking for.The salary for this role is aligned with your experience and the NZNO Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand Nursing and Midwifery Collective Agreement.

Youll ideally have:Current registration with the NZ Nursing Council and a current Annual Practising CertificateA minimum of five years experience in an acute NZ hospital settingFlexibility to work across all shifts, including nights and weekends (required)Experience in patient flow (highly desirable)Previous Duty Nurse Manager experience (preferred)A relevant postgraduate qualification, or a commitment to working towards oneStrong leadership and decision-making capabilityThe ability to plan, organise, and collaborate effectively across servicesAn agile, proactive, and solution-focused mind setAble to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
