Our pay: $25.00 -$27.00 per hour depending on skills

CHK Partnership Limited is a well-established restaurant in the east of Auckland, trading as Lobster Palace Restaurant.

• Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years relevant work experience in the same field or industry, or
• Have a relevant level 4 qualification or above (equivalent overseas qualification can be accepted) or
• Have an overseas occupational certificate can be accepted

You are required to:

• Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Checking ingredients to make sure the quality and freshness
• Preparing and Cooking various dishes, fillings, sources in various equipment, utensils and grillers
• Measure and combine ingredients and raw materials using hands/hand tools and other equipment for traditional pastry foods
• Seasoning, portioning, adding sauces to the food during/after cooking
• Preparing food to meet client’s taste and dietary needs
• Arrange food on plates or wrap it to be taken away
• Storing and reserving food
• Assisting in planning menus, estimating food and labour costs
• Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
• Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Assisting with training and coordinating with junior cooks or kitchen hands, as requested by Chef
