We are seeking casual Community Support Workers across Temuka to support our clients.

In this role, you will be both a trusted support system and a catalyst for a more fulfilling life for our clients. If you have experience in pediatric care, spinal or traumatic injuries, rehabilitation, mental health, disability support, and the safe use of hoists and lifting equipment, this is an opportunity to truly make a difference.

What does a Phoenix Healthcare Support Worker do?

The support you provide will include:
  • Personal Care Assistance (showering, dressing, toileting and bowel and bladder care)
  • Giving medications
  • Assistance feeding
  • Community Integrations
  • Household Management (cleaning and meal preparation)
  • Helping clients live their best life by supporting them to achieve their personal goals

To thrive in Support Working role, you will have:
  • A minimum Level 4 qualification in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent from another country, is beneficial but not essential. We also welcome applicants who may not hold formal qualifications but have relevant previous experience.
  • Good spoken English.
  • Ability to pass a police vet.
  • A full NZ Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle.
  • Having a current First Aid Certificate is a bonus, and if you don’t have one, we can help you obtain it.
  • Flexibility opens doors to more shifts! We have a variety of shifts (including covers, sleepovers, wake overs and weekend shifts).

Please note that the 90-day trial period will apply to any successful applicant who has not previously worked for Phoenix Healthcare Group.
