Fragrance Arabia is seeking a motivated Store Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our perfume retail stores in Lower Hutt and Masterton. This role is responsible for maintaining premium presentation standards, driving sales performance, ensuring outstanding customer service, and delivering consistent operational excellence across both locations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations across both stores, ensuring consistent service standards, presentation, and performance.
- Lead sales activities by setting targets, monitoring results, and coaching staff to achieve strong customer conversion rates and repeat business.
- Manage product range, stock levels, replenishment, and merchandising to maximise sales and minimise stock loss.
- Ensure high-quality visual merchandising, including clean and attractive displays, tester presentation, and promotional setups.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, sales performance, discounts, refunds, exchanges, and daily reconciliations.
- Monitor store budgets, profit margins, and operational costs, implementing strategies to improve profitability.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff across both stores, including roster management and performance reviews.
- Provide expert customer guidance on fragrance families, scent notes, layering techniques, longevity, and product recommendations based on individual preferences.
- Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction and brand reputation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including the safe storage and handling of fragrances and maintaining tidy work areas.
- Implement loss prevention procedures and ensure the secure handling of high-value stock and cash.
- Support local marketing initiatives and contribute to building the Fragrance Arabica brand presence within both communities.
Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
- At least three years of relevant retail management experience, preferably in cosmetics, fragrance, fashion, beauty, or premium retail environments; OR
- A tertiary qualification at NZQF Level 4 or above (or equivalent).
In addition, applicants must:
- Have a genuine interest in fragrances, customer styling, and consultative sales.
- Have a clean police record.
- Be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug test if required.
- Submit a current CV with their application.
- Provide at least two recent work-related references.
