We’re growing — and we’re looking for a Property Assessor to join our insurance team in Wellington
The Role
This is a hands-on, people-focused role where technical know-how meets genuine customer care. You’ll assess property loss or damage, identify reinstatement requirements, and help guide customers through the insurance process.

What You’ll Be Doing- Visiting damaged properties to assess and quantify reinstatement or repair needs
- Supporting homeowners and clients through the claims process
- Preparing scopes of work, reports, and reinstatement estimates
- Working closely with brokers, insurers, and key partners
- Maintaining accurate records across multiple systems
- Communicating regularly with homeowners, insurers, and agents on claim status
- Experience with insurance claims, loss adjusting, or building/property assessment
- Strong communication skills — written and verbal
- A customer-first mindset and a genuine passion for helping people
- Solid organisational and time-management skills
- Practical problem-solving ability
- Flexibility to respond to customer needs
- Building or construction industry knowledge is an advantage
