Full Job Description

Kirimana Consultants are looking for full-time Foreman/Supervisors in the civil construction industry based in Auckland. If you have experience in civil infrastructure and are committed to building safer communities, we want to hear from you!

About You:

You bring a minimum of 10 years of civil infrastructure experience and a keen understanding of Health & Safety regulations. You pride yourself on producing high-quality work and can read and interpret construction plans for a successful project delivery.

You're a team player, take direction well, and are dedicated to achieving project success.

You have experience working with Project Managers to deliver projects for main contractors. Experience in the piling, retaining walls and civil drainage is preferred; however, skills in drainage, concrete, and/or structural work are also valuable.

You are available to work 40+ hours per week (Monday to Friday, occasional Saturdays depending on the project). You have a strong worth ethic, are reliable and show commitment to leading a team. You will be an inspiring role model for the staff in your crew ensuring a positive and nurturing work environment.

About the Job:

  • Supervise and lead a crew on-site on any civil infrastructure projects
  • Ensure all works are carried out on time and within budget with collaboration from the Project Managers and Senior Management
  • Solid understanding of civil, drainage, earthworks and streetscapes/roading.
  • Maintain accurate daily records, toolbox meetings, safety audits, and any other paperwork relevant to the project
  • Manage the allocation of supplies, resources, materials and equipment to ensure they are being utilised effectively
  • Ensure all equipment and tools are well looked after and taken care of while on site by yourself, crews and any subcontractors
  • Maintaining relationships with subcontractors, clients, project managers and suppliers
  • Following strict safety procedures on site, wearing correct PPE at all times, and being inducted onto the relevant projects as required
  • Ensuring your team is well trained and fully competent to work on projects, delivering results safely and in compliance with client requirements.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in civil infrastructure.
  • Valid class 1 Full Driver's license.
  • Must be a New Zealand citizen or resident and legally allowed to work in New Zealand.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Provide references to verify your experience.
  • A tertiary education qualification in civil construction is an advantage but not essential.
