A diverse and essential role at the heart of our daily operationsSalary range: $65,070 - $75,981 (pro-rata) depending on skills and experiencePermanent, Part Time (20 hours per week) | Based in TaurangaOur vision: Nature is thriving in Aotearoa | Te Oranga o te Ao TūroaMō te tūranga | About the roleThe Department of Conservation have recently made some big changes to help our people and operations work better together-so we can achieve the conservation outcomes we're aiming for.As a Site Support Officer, you will report to the Operations Advisor and play a key role in providing essential administrative and site support to ensure DOC facilities across the region run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.This role is key to creating a safe, well-functioning environment so our teams can focus on delivering conservation outcomes.The position will be focussed on: Working closely with the Site Lead to support the day-to-day running of DOC premises, acting as the main point of contact for site and facility mattersProviding general office management support and being the go-to person for site-based queriesCoordinating the upkeep of DOC pool vehicles to ensure they are fit for purpose, including servicing and WOF requirementsSupporting key health and safety activities, including inductions, safety and fire drills, regular checks, and ACC auditsPlease note: This role is a 0.5FTE position. Days/ Hours to be negotiated between hiring manager and the successful candidate.
