Construction Worker - Otago

About the role:

• Stellar Recruitment currently have multiple Construction Worker positions available in the Otago region.
• Full time, permanent work with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week
• Your ordinary hours of work will be 40 hours per week normally worked between 6:00am-6:00pm Monday to Friday. However, you may be required to work the occasional Saturday.
• $25-$27 per hour

What you need to be successful in this role:

• You must have at least 2 years of relevant work experience
• You must be able to work within the time frame of the project and be a reliable member of the team
• National certificate in construction in any fields (concrete, carpentry, interiors & plastering, painting & decorating) will be considered as an advantage
• Knowing, understanding, communicating, and ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety regulations and company safety policies and procedures
• Minimum Full Class 1 license (or equivalent)

• Shifting materials around site
• Loading & unloading equipment
• Building boxing & form work
• Reading construction plans & drawings
• Cutting various carpentry materials to size, and installing them
• Help with installation of framing, ceilings, trusses, and flooring
• General labouring tasks on site when required as per the instructions of your Supervisor

Daily commuting between regions and projects will not be expected but should projects within a particular region cease, relocation to an alternative region may be required, in which case notice will be given, and relocation policies will apply.
