Job Description:Are you passionate about cooking and ready to be a part of our exciting new kitchen team? The Hillcrest Tavern is looking for a Part-Time Cook to contribute to our menu of classic pub fare, including pizzas, steaks, burgers, salads, and fish n chips.
Join our fun and energetic team to help us deliver outstanding meals to our diverse clientele.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook a variety of pub-style dishes, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the kitchen area.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a team-oriented approach.
- Be flexible to cover shifts during busy periods or staff absences.
- Experience in a cooking role, with a focus on pub-style cuisine preferred.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to producing high-quality food.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and cover additional shifts when needed.
- New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa is a must.
