About the company:

Stellar Recruitment has partnered with a reputable kiwi-owned business located on the outskirts of Manawatu. With a rich history of collaboration across local businesses, supplying aluminum materials and project engineering since the late 1800s, our client is a highly trusted market competitor.

Due to an internal promotion, our client is currently seeking an experienced and motivated quality assurance and control coordinator who is passionate about engineering. Quality is paramount to their customers and therefore are looking for an individual who can help drive their ISO 9001 quality management system to maximise performance improvements and meet compliance standards.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a critical path in coordinating and administrating quality requirements to exceed customer requirements, drive continuous improvement within a growing organisation, and align project management standards and processes, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contribute significantly to the ongoing certification to ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard.
  • Engagement of people - Align and engage people across all levels of our business to help create and deliver processes and procedures that add value to elevate both our business and our team.
  • Process approach - An interrelated approach across all of our business processes to drive consistency and efficiency in our results.
  • Continual improvement - Assist in analysing and review our business processes on a frequent basis to help achieve continuous improvement for our business that can be maintained both short-term and long-term.
  • Assist with conducting internal quality audits in a methodical and detailed manner to verify that our Quality Management System is complied with at all times.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for certifications and regulatory compliance.

To be successful you will have:

  • Excellent knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in comparable quality roles
