Our food is inspired by the use of a variety of locally sourced New Zealand ingredients, presented in a casual style and boasting a balanced combination of sweet, savoury, salty, spicy, and acidic flavours.

This Cook role would suit someone who is interested in growing their career and developing within our business. The position guarantees a minimum of 30 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $23.50 to $24, depending on experience.
Key tasks of the role include:
- Preparing food ingredients
- Cooking menu items under the supervision of the senior chef
- Managing and stocking inventory appropriately
- Washing and cleaning utensils and dishes
- Cleaning benches, floors, and other kitchen areas
- Disposing of rubbish
- Ensuring the kitchen is clean and sanitary
- Implementing all hygiene and health and safety requirements
- Maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Ideal candidates are expected to have the following (but are not limited to):
- A Cookery qualification at Level 4 or higher, or
- At least two years of relevant work experience
- Flexible availability, as the position requires night shifts and Saturdays
- Experience in Mexican food and ingredients preferred
- A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
