As a **Cook**, you will prepare, cook, and serve high-quality meals at **Taranaki Hospital**, ensuring all food production meets dietary, safety, and contractual requirements. You’ll contribute to delivering safe, nutritious meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.This is a **Casual position** where hours of work are "as an when" required basis upon business needs.
Ko o kawenga | Your responsibilities- Prepare, cook, and present meals in line with menus, dietary requirements, and quality standards.
- Support menu planning, including catering for special dietary and cultural needs.
- Manage stock, including receiving, storing, and rotating supplies to minimise waste.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in line with food safety standards.
- Apply portion control, cost control, and catering procedures to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Proven experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen or similar environment.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- A reliable and hardworking team player who can also work independently.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality and customer service.
