Mechanical Site Fitter - Christchurch

We're on the lookout for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Site Team, working across Christchurch and the wider South Island.
You’ll get hands-on with everything from timber processing plants to quarries, batching plants, and bulk handling systems – no two weeks are the same.
What you will be doing:- Preventative and scheduled maintenance on heavy industrial equipment
- Process improvements, upgrades, and plant optimisation
- Installation and commissioning of new plant and machinery
- Site-based servicing and mechanical fault-finding
- Travel to client sites throughout Canterbury and the South Island
- Timber processing and sawmills
- Quarry and mining operations
- Bulk material handling plants
- Industrial manufacturing and processing
- Trade-qualified mechanical fitter, maintenance engineer, or similar
- Experience in heavy industrial plant (conveyors, silos, crushers, screens, pumps, gearboxes, etc.)
- Comfortable with travel and working independently on-site
- Commitment to H&S, quality workmanship, and customer service
- A great attitude and ability to problem-solve in the field
