The position is based on a fitter/ turner role, ismulti-faceted and would suit someone with similar skills having some HVACexperience. You will be joining the Maintenance and Engineering Department,where you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining the buildings,building services / plant and equipment and building management systems.
Experiencein a similar role would be advantageous, but so is the ability and willingnessto learn new skills as part of a forward-thinking team.The salary for this position is $75,499- $86,623You will be responsible for:Maintain and repair steam, water, condensate, compressed air, medical gas and other reticulated systemsRegular inspections of the operating systems and servicesWelding and general fabricationMaintenance, repairs, and the operation of Boilers and heating plantMaintenance and repairs of general Hospital equipmentBeing part of the 'on-call' rosterAbout youYour skills will include:A qualified trade certificate as fitter/ turner, but other similar trades would be considered.Boiler experience (Woodchip, LPG, Electric)HVAC experience including understanding FCU and AHU operationBuilding Management systems experience (beneficial)Welding; and general fitting experienceKnowledge of reticulated services such as water, steam, condensate, compressed airThe ability to work autonomously (essential)Basic skills in the Microsoft suite e.g. Word, Outlook, ExcelAbout the Team/Service/ LocationThe Health NZ Waitaha Canterbury Maintenance and EngineeringDepartment looks after the maintenance of all buildings, grounds, services andnon-clinical equipment in Christchurch and the surrounding area.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
