Wall and Floor Tiler / Waterproofing Trade Worker
About the role
JT Waterproofing and Sealant Limited is seeking an experienced and reliable Wall and Floor Tiler / Waterproofing Trade Worker to join our team. This role involves carrying out waterproofing and tiling work at residential and commercial sites, including preparation, membrane application, moisture control, repairs, and finishing work.
This role is intended to align with the ANZSCO occupation of Wall and Floor Tiler.
Key duties and responsibilities: Carry out waterproofing works at residential and commercial sites
Prepare wall and floor surfaces for waterproofing and tilingInstall waterproof membranes and moisture control systems
Perform repairs, leak fixes, and maintenance work as required
Lay wall and floor tiles according to the required plans, measurements, and specifications
Read and interpret building plans, layouts, and site measurements
Undertake surface preparation, levelling, and finishing work
Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery where required
Ensure accuracy in layout planning, measurements, and quality checks
Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
Maintain positive working relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors
Complete paperwork associated with contracts, projects, and services provided
Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
Skills and experience required: Two years of experience in wall and floor tiling and/or waterproofing work, and a trade certificate in this field
Ability to read and work from building plansExperience in membrane installation and moisture control
Good practical knowledge of surface preparation and finishing
Ability to use tools and equipment relevant to the trade
Good attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
Reliable, physically fit, and able to work across different sites
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred but not essential: Experience in repair and maintenance work
Driver's licence - NZ or international allowing to drive in NZ
Hours and pay: Minimum 30 hours per week
$28.00 per hour
