About the role
We are looking for a highly organised, upbeat, and customer-focused professional to join our team as a Junior Service Advisor & Costing Coordinator.
This role is the heartbeat of our service department. The primary focus is to accurately cost repair orders daily, ensure jobs are processed efficiently and on time, and deliver an outstanding customer experience from check-in to payment.
You will be the friendly face customers see when they arrive and the confident professional who ensures every job is costed correctly, invoiced promptly, and finalised smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Job Costing & Financial Accuracy:- Cost repair orders daily with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Apply correct labour times, parts pricing, and margins.
- Ensure all completed jobs are invoiced promptly to avoid delays.
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) to maintain efficient job flow.
- Identify opportunities to maintain profitability while remaining transparent with customers.
- Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and upbeat manner.
- Check vehicles in and out efficiently and accurately.
- Clearly explain invoices and completed work to customers.
- Process payments (EFTPOS, credit card, finance options) accurately.
- Handle customer queries confidently and positively.
- Ensure all job cards are completed correctly before invoicing.
- Support smooth daily workflow within the service department.
Please note: This role is not limited to the responsibilities listed above. As part of a busy service team, you will be expected to assist with other duties as needed to support the overall operation of the department.
Skills & Experience Required:- Previous experience in an automotive service advisor, costing, or workshop administration role preferred but not essential.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident handling customer payments and financial transactions.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
