The Role
We have an outstanding opportunity for a focused, energetic, and practical Team Leader to join our grounds maintenance team in Auckland.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day onsite delivery of grounds maintenance services across Auckland. This is a hands-on leadership role, where you will lead from the front — supervising and supporting your team while also working alongside them as required.
Your responsibilities will include project planning, work scheduling, supervision of employees and contractors, and actively participating in grounds maintenance activities. You will also audit and monitor work delivery to ensure all services are completed on time, to a high standard of quality, and in a safe and cost-effective manner.
This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys balancing leadership responsibilities with physical, outdoor work, and who takes pride in setting the standard through example.
Skills and Experience- Proven experience leading or supervising a horticultural team or similar
- Strong practical skills and the ability to perform physical grounds maintenance work as required
- Ideally skilled in either horticulture or turf management
- Competent written communication skills
- A clear commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental systems
- A current driver’s license
