Live-In Housekeeper / Estate Assistant
We are a busy, family-run household based on a large rural property in the Whitford/Brookby area, looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and self-sufficient live-in housekeeper to support the day-to-day running of our home and surrounding dwellings.
This is a varied role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining a high standard and enjoys working independently in a dynamic environment.
About the Role: General housekeeping across the main home and 3–4 additional dwellings on the property
Laundry, linen changes, and maintaining overall cleanliness to a high standardManaging and maintaining multiple living spaces across the property
Occasionally preparing freezer meals for family use
Every 6 weeks: travel to our Central Otago and Coromandel properties for a full clean and meal prep (all travel covered)
Working approximately 5–6 hours per day (flexible structure)
About You: Highly organised, proactive, and able to work unsupervised
Takes initiative and naturally notices what needs doingTrustworthy, discreet, and respectful of a busy family environment
Able to work efficiently in the background without disrupting the household
Comfortable around animals and rural living
Previous experience in private households, lodges, or similar environments is preferred
