Financial Accountant - Part time Contractor

We are working with an organisation based in Auckland – Royal Oak that is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team on a part-time contract basis (30 hours per week). This is a hands-on, well-rounded role ideal for someone who enjoys variety and ownership while working in a collaborative environment.

This position offers flexibility with part-time hours (30 hours per week) and would suit a contractor who is confident managing both operational and reporting responsibilities while partnering with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of financial statements including P&L, balance sheet and management reports.
• Ownership of month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations
• Financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making
• Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Processing payroll and ensuring compliance requirements are met
• Preparation and filing of GST, PAYE, RWT and FBT returns
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
• Maintaining fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
• Bank reconciliations and cashflow oversight
• Assisting with audit and year-end processes
