Join Moana New Zealand – Where Purpose Meets Possibility

Moana New Zealand is the largest Maori-owned fisheries company in Aotearoa. All profits we make are returned to Maori — supporting iwi through dividends, with the balance retained to fund long term growth initiatives.

Why This Role Matters

Our Finfish (Ika) business is thriving and is a state-of-the-art Kaimoana Hub in Porirua — a centre dedicated to processing and supplying premium fish, paua and lobster to both domestic and global markets.

Due to ongoing growth and innovation, we’re looking for a motivated, energised, and super-organised Office & Operations Administration to keep our Hub humming. This is a role with real variety — you’ll work across production, inventory, sales support, compliance, and general site coordination.

If you love being at the centre of the action, this is the place to be.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’re the operational backbone of the site — the person who keeps everything moving, organised, and connected across production, sales, inventory, office, and general admin.

What you’ll actually be doing:
  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors and couriers
  • Managing purchasing and procurement across site, factory, and retail
  • Maintaining digital and physical filing systems
  • Supporting sales, production, and inventory teams with admin and coordination
  • Organising meetings, taking minutes, preparing documents, and arranging travel
  • Handling data entry and raising purchase orders
  • Assisting with inventory admin and coordination
  • Supporting QA & Compliance with audit preparation
  • Helping coordinate projects across the site

This is a multi hat, fast moving, high variety role where you’re the person everyone relies on to keep things running smoothly.

Who You Are

You’re a natural organiser — calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and known for getting things done. You enjoy being busy, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and bring a positive, can-do attitude to your work.
  • Proven experience in administration within FMCG, manufacturing, or supply chain industries
  • Knowledge of sales, inventory and compliance
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Confidence using inventory or finance systems
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Strong capability across Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • The ability to build strong relationships at all levels

You must be a highly experienced administrator who can pick up new systems quickly, possess strong numerical and analytical expertise and ideally have knowledge and experience in inventory management and finance systems.

Ideally you will have a background in FMCG, manufacturing or supply chain. A high level of capability using the Microsoft suite; Word, PowerPoint & Excel is essential.

If you are interested, please send your resume c/o Moana’s recruitment team to recruitment@moana.co.nz and in the subject box please put the job title.

Closing date for application is 4:00 pm 8 May 2026

Please note you must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand to be eligible for this position.
