Labourer to Machine Operator – Full Time

We currently have full-time positions available as labourers working to Machine Operators (CNC & Laser Cutting), based at our Omahu Road site in Hastings.

This is a hands-on role working with steel plate processing machinery. You will be responsible for operating equipment, ensuring quality standards are met, and assisting with general production tasks.

• Run programmed nests to cut, drill, tap, and bevel steel plate profiles
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the cutting process
• Load and unload machine beds with steel plates
• Check material thickness and grade before cutting
• Grind parts where required
• Stack pallets of cut profiles as needed
• Complete job-related paperwork accurately

• Reasonably fit and able to lift and stand for extended periods
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude toward learning
• Reliable, punctual, and committed
• Confident computer skills to operate software efficiently
• Previous experience preferred, but full on-the-job training provided for the right applicant
